Woodlands Secondary School students were very privileged to be invited to Vision Group on 19 July 2019, for their SSP Phase 2 Company visit.

Mr Elvin Teo, Director of Operations, kicked started the visit with a short speech about his background and the company’s business on blockchain and technology.

Next was a small group dialogue. Each group were given SSP key words to discuss on and share about the things they had learnt in SSP Phase 1. Mentors also shared their experiences related to these keywords. This gave our SSP participants a clearer idea of how the values learnt during our programme can be used in many areas of their lives.

Discussion time! Both mentors and mentees sharing experiences related to our SSP keywords.

Each mentor-mentee group then took turns to present on their discussion. It was one of the rare times where the students had the opportunity to present to a one-of a kind audience. Although the students were nervous about the presentation, encouragement from one another and the hosts of the day aided in a job well done!

Mr Philip Wong, CEO of Vision Group, concluded the visit by sharing his life experience. His main takeaway for the students was ‘Dare to Dream’. He also shared that Vision Group would not exist, should he not dare to dream. The students’ deepest impression was the mini game that Mr Wong had prepared for them, the objective of this game was to teach the students to dare to ask for something if they really want it.

Not only their stomachs were filled, but the students’ hearts and mind as well.  It was an impactful visit to Vision Group, thank you Vision Group for the warm hospitality!
