On 12th March 2025, our Big Bro Big Sis (BBBS) community had the incredible privilege of meeting with Her Majesty The Queen Mother Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, Her Royal Highness Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck, and His Eminence Vairochana Rinpoche Ngawang Jigme Jigten Wangchuck from Bhutan.

Together with the People’s Association team, we spent the afternoon in heartfelt conversation around youth engagement, sustainability, and leadership. These are values at the core of our BBBS programme and it was inspiring to see these important themes reflected during the discussion. It is a reminder of the power that mentorship and community have in shaping a better future.

The day’s highlight was undoubtedly taking our distinguished guests out on the water aboard the Hansa boats. These Hansa boats were also previously used during the inaugural Asian Inclusive Sailing Series held in Nov 2024 at the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club. Our volunteers had the joy of guiding our guests on an inclusive sailing experience, a moment that beautifully embodied our shared commitment to making sailing accessible for everyone, regardless of ability or background.
