Your Journey as a BBBS

Life is a journey​. Your journey as a BBBS is one filled with learning, discovery and opportunities. When you join us as a BBBS, you can look forward to a strong foundational training on our core facilitation skillset, which would then prepare you to take on and eventually become leaders in various activities such as sailing, pickleball, climbing and much more.

Introduction to Facilitation

Facilitation is about making easy. At BBBS, we want to make easy for you to lead, to inspire and to deliver impact. As such, all BBBS would begin their journey with the Introduction to Facilitation Course. This course would provide you with the basic skills to lead a group of students, create experiences, and translate objectives into impactful activities.

More importantly, it will familarise you with the values and mindsets that exemplifies the role model of a BBBS.

Upcoming Training Cycle (from 16 November to 21 Dec 2024):

  • Session 1 (4hrs) – Saturday, 16th November 2024  (9am – 1pm)
  • Session 2 (4hrs) – Saturday, 23rd November 2024 (9am – 1pm)
  • Session 3 (4hrs) – Saturday, 30th November 2024 (9am – 1pm)
  • Session 4 (4hrs) – Saturday, 14th December 2024 (9am – 1pm)
  • Session 5 (4hrs) – Saturday, 21st December 2024 (9am – 1pm)
 

You may sign up for the upcoming cycle by emailing to Ash, our volunteer coordinator, at ashohauk@metazone.org, with the following details:

  1. Full name
  2. Phone contact,
  3. Association (e.g., school or club)
  4. Year you participated in the Sailing and Sustainability Programme (or a short statement on why you want to join!)

Our volunteer coordinator will follow up with more details to confirm your participation in the upcoming training. Please note that sign-up closes on 10 Nov 2024.

Sailing Track

Do you want to be put out of your comfort zone? Do you want to apply your facilitation skills on the water? Do you have what it takes to conquer the wind itself? As a BBBS sailor, you are not just going to sail a boat from point A to point B, but to leverage on sailing to cultivate values such as effort, resilience and teamwork.  Here, at BBBS sailing, the journey IS the destination.
